  • 5 tbsp unsalted butter (melted)
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 pinch nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup melted unsalted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Pour one can of peaches and its juice into a 9×13 baking pan; drain the second can and add only the peaches.
  3. In the pan, mix melted butter, sugar, lemon juice, vanilla extract, and salt into the peaches.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Spread this mixture over the peach layer evenly.
  5. Drizzle melted butter over the flour mixture.
  6. Bake for 15 minutes at 400°F, then reduce temperature to 375°F (190°C) and continue baking for about an hour until golden brown.
