Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 lbs sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 large yellow onion, thinly sliced
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 lb fettuccine pasta
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • Chopped green onions for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, toss the steak cubes with olive oil, Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper until well-coated.
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the steak tips in batches for about 2-3 minutes per side until browned; remove from skillet.
  3. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté sliced onions until golden. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant.
  4. Pour in chicken broth and simmer while scraping browned bits from the pan. Reduce heat; stir in heavy cream and softened cream cheese until smooth. Mix in parmesan cheese and season to taste.
  5. Return steak tips to the skillet; combine and cover to simmer for 10-15 minutes.
  6. Cook fettuccine according to package instructions; drain but reserve some pasta water.
  7. Toss cooked fettuccine with steak tips and sauce, adjusting consistency with reserved pasta water as needed.
