  • 1 cup fresh blackberries
  • 1 small red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup toasted pecans or walnuts
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon honey (or maple syrup)
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl or jar, combine olive oil, fresh lemon juice, honey (or maple syrup), Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper. Whisk until well blended and set aside.
  2. Layer mixed greens as the base on a large platter. Evenly distribute sliced avocado over the greens.
  3. Scatter fresh blackberries and thinly sliced red onion on top.
  4. If desired, sprinkle crumbled goat cheese or feta and toasted nuts for crunch.
